Be Mine. Last weekend I had the pleasure of doing a Valentine family shoot for the Hughes! That little guy's name is George and he's absolutely adorable, as you can see. These two are such great parents and it was so much fun capturing it in our lovely town of San Clemente.
Engagement shoots are so much fun, especially when your client chooses such a fantastic location to shoot! Pasadena City Hall is architecturally pleasing in so many ways with gorgeous elongated hallways, cascading stairways, a beautiful fountain that I wish had been on, and a courtyard that's ever so inviting. Andrea and Michael are a lovely laid back, sweet couple that will be getting married in December! Congrats you two!

Someone decided to do some spring cleaning today and in the process I stumbled upon this old photograph. It's safe to say my mom is beyond amazing and I know someday I'm going to be just as persistent in taking pictures like these. The one's that document your life and fun little memories that totally made your day. Apparently when I was five, I won a coloring contest for coloring my favorite 80's cartoon, Carebears. What did I choose to buy with my gift certificate? None other than a giant bag of rainbow skittles and a pretty pink Barbie, cause really that's all a girl needs to be satisfied.
In exactly one month I will be 25. I sure used to be cute back in the day, check out that pink OshKosh overall dress! Was your mother as cool as mine when it came to cleaning off the beaters and licking the bowl? I miss those days...
One of my favorite bloggers Joy the Baker has a birthday coming up, in which she wants to accomplish 30 things by the time she's 30. I'm totally for that and so I decided to make a list of 25 thing before I'm 25.

Emma was really hesitant about me blogging this morning, I mean look at that face! Her grunts and shear determination to cuddle was just too much. At least she wasn't plopping her head on the keyboard and typing for me, she has allot of important things to say my dears.
Welcome to the first of many Music Mondays to come! I sure have been enjoying this effortlessly rainy weather and it's fairly important to pair some good tunes with it and a glass of wine wouldn't hurt either. As of late I have become obsessed with anything that RAC remixes, why? Because they take an already awesome song and make it even better! I'm not talking tricked out electro-crap, sorry I fell off that train years ago. Remix Artists Collective do it for me and I'm sure they will do it for you too. Listen, download, love em!
P.S. tonight I'm going to take a stab at covering Coldplay's Yellow, I'll share it with you soon.
Oh engagement shoots, I love you. Pictured above are a few of my favorite images from last Saturday's shoot, at the Huntington with this wonderful couple. For the past year I've been studying so many photo blogs, to give me an idea of how I want to shoot engagements and weddings. Honing my art is a must and I really want to have fun with the couples that I work with. Love is a magical thing my dears and I must tell their story through a series of images to make what they have stand out.
Take ONE has officially happened and I couldn't be happier, stay tuned for more to come! If you happen to know anyone getting engaged or married and in need of an awesome photographer, contact me! I will give them a super deal and undoubtedly they will enjoy shoots that are illustrious, exciting, cute, and anything but ordinary.
Today I found myself getting lost in my iPhoto and reminiscing on my European Vacation a few years ago. Nothing has been as exciting as being with my bestie and getting lost on a daily basis, though I do love my American travels. Six weeks spent hiking our way through Ireland's green hills, biking through the streets, missing our train to Spain, learning to love the World Cup + beer, loosely learning foreign languages, sunsets like you couldn't believe, and falling in love with photography. Oh and did I mention it was here I learned to be an expert picnicer?
My heart is feeling adventurous(as it always is), yearning for something new where I can fall even more in love with the world through my lens. Now the next question is... Where?
Any suggestions my dears? Anyone want to be my partner in crime?
