Sundays, they're kind of amazing. They should always be spent outside, getting some love from the sun, gathering fresh fruits/veggies/breads/hummus/those-things-you-don't-really-need, and smiling just because. I'm partial to the Hollywood Farmers' Market on Ivar and Selma, as they have a wide variety of musicians and selections to choose from. Need a great cup of coffee? Cafecito Organico will gently jump start your morning to be a huge success! Oh and please, please pair it with a salted caramel crossaint or a Dorado Cookie from Valerie, talk about swoonsville... her little stand is just delightful, I really want to pick up a marmalade next time. Bread-wise I found a 9 grain bread that reminded me of the bread I fell in love with in Australia, why is it so hard to do bread right?
My weekend was beyond lovely... I will share it with you soon!

Gastrobus, Yum
Imagine a gourmet Food Truck, that rolls into local Farmers Markets, collects fresh produce, organic eggs, and other delicious ingredients to woo their patrons... Well Gastrobus did just that for my friends and I on Sunday, at the Los Feliz Farmers Market(every Sunday). An adorable hubby and wife duo run this ship in the finest way, offering up homemade Blueberry Lemonade, Ricotta Donut holes with sweet berry sauce, asparagus + fried egg with cured salmon & radishes+dill, and so much more. The menu changes daily as does their location, ingredients vary, and clearly they're creative with whatever they get their hands on.
I had the Canadian BLT with pork loin, fried egg, aioli, and toasty bread, it was scrumptious! I couldn't recommend this more to you, so be sure to experience it! Gourmet my friends and keeping it local, simply marvelous...

Los Olivos [Wine Country]
Los Olivos, I love you. Not because you're a mere hour and a half outside of Los Angeles, but because everytime we have a date, you make me swoon. Brander is quite possibly my new favorite winery, with it's Moscato swooping up our hearts hinting flavors of orange blossom + honey and spring-filled fresh taste, not too sweet... Well played. Of course our picnic wasn't too shabby either with salami, double cream brie, french baguettes, blackberries, hummus, carrots, and dark chocolate honeycomb. Life is so hard sometimes, I'm miserable.
Where do you enjoy going wine tasting? I think it's time to expand my palate...
