Space Photography Bliss

    Our world is kinda beautiful and thanks to astronaut Don Petit with his creative camera skills in the International Space Station, we get to swoon over these butes!  He took 30-second exposures capturing a 10-15 minute lapse of Auroras, Thunderstorms, and star trails.  More photos can be found here.

DIY: Layered Necklace

    This necklace took all of twenty-something minutes to make.  Easy?  Very much so, cute?  Absolutely.  You only need three things, it's like boxed brownies but will last you forever.

Supplies:

• A spool of Suede Lace (only need 40" or so for project)
• Chain 
• Yarn of your choice

   It's important you tape the yarn and suede ends together, so it's easier to weave in and out of the chain.  Once you've weaved it through entirely, unhinge the end loop and attach a clasp.  I recycled one from a broken necklace of mine, they're super cheap new.  To bind down he suede and yarn to the chain, use i flexible metal twine to create a cohesive look at both ends.  I'm now on the hunt for a cute pendent to hang on this beauty.  The best part about this necklace?  It cost $5 to make and you can smile and be amazed that you, yes you made it!

I have a case of the Mondays, thankfully it's almost over.  Here's some yummy stuff for you to ponder over, I say we have a pool party and make those Watermelon Margaritas already!  Play a little game of Marco Polo and ride a giant inflatable Shamu...

My weekend was marvelous, nothing beats Cinespia movie nights in the cemetery watching The Evil Dead II and picnicing your heart out with lovely friends.

Homemade Oreos

These bad boys are delicious and satisfying and can only be enjoyed with a cold glass of milk.  Dunk them, slowly nibble on them while you're curled up on the couch watching a good movie, and give them to your dearest friends.  I loved the bittersweet exterior cookie and the cream middle was truly sweet, next time I'm subbing vanilla ice cream for the sake of summer.  Here's the recipe here!

Move Over Monday

Monday, the only reason I like you is because I'm going to Disneyland tomorrow.  Oh I can't wait to get my Space Mountain on, fly off to never never land, court my Yeti, spike my Dole, and just get downright happy at the happiest place on earth. 

I bet my Monday is better than yours so far, maybe...  Well make the best of your week folks!

Meet Aphrodite, my breakfast.  She has a way with people like you wouldn't believe, and when you're not looking she will take your heart and completely satisfy you.

Who has a case of the Mondays?  I might have had too good of a weekend again, life why are you so enjoyable?  I started writing a new song, saw the Fleet Foxes (which was a folky dream), hiked with a brown furry boxer, and saw my Momma & fam.

So back to Aphrodite... Make her and you will be in a love spell, your tummy will thank you.

Ingredients:

• Egg whites (or regular)
• Sundried Tomatoes 
• Olive Tapenade
• Sauteed Spinich
• Feta
• Love (yes, love)

Bulleit Rye Whiskey

Meet a new member of the Bulleit family, Rye.  Constructed 95% of rye mash & 5% malted barley, surly to make you smile, if you're a fellow whiskey lover like myself!  Pretty much the smoothest rye I've ever had with spice notes of cinnamon, cherry, and a slight campfire feel.  Absolutely sippable and I'm thoroughly enjoying it as I type, but I wish I had a warm piece of apple pie from Alcove...

She's a real bute my friends, the only problem is she's so easy to sip I could have a second round (Sighhhh).  Somebody get me a campfire and hand me guitar and no one will get hurt.

Engagement Shoot: Jackie & Josh

Well another successful engagement shoot has taken place, thanks to Jackie and Josh!  These two were such a pleasure to shoot with, thanks to their playful attitudes and sheer smittenhood for one another.  An afternoon at the Fullerton Arboretum surly acted as a pleasant backdrop, with baby ducks waddling around and families partaking in picnics.

I totally have a case of the Mondays my dears, it might have to do with an excessive weekend of downtown adventures, my quarter century bash, photo shoots, and my exhausting picnic in the park yesterday afternoon.  My life is so hard, I know, it would be easier with an iced coffee right about now.  Anyone wanna make that happen?  I'll whip you up some lunch...

Movie Nights

Move over Cinespia, this here setup has just outdone you!  I'd classify this as one of the most perfect backyard getaways I've ever seen, except it's missing one thing... Refreshing alcoholic beverages.  One summer night when I'm allllll grown up, I'm totally going to have a design similar to this.

Simply magical my loves... Who's getting excited for picnics in the cemetery, hmmmmm?  I am, I am!
