Sunday mornings are simply marvelous, mainly cause sleeping in is something I rarely get to do and secondly it's kind of a brunch day in Los Angeles.
Firefly in South Pasadena is my favorite place for a relaxing breakfast and yummy eats. We ordered the Tortilla Flats consisting of a giant flour tortilla dipped in French toast batter, candied pecans, cinamon spiced mascarpone, cajeta, and bananas. So good, I've never gone here and not ordered it! To balance out this sweet monstrosity the Greek Goddess did a fantastic job with artichoke hearts, asparagus, spinach, gruyere, and parsley pesto.
Oh did I mention there's live blues music by Big B? His raspy heart felt vocals compliment the heck out of his steel, 12 string, and array of guitars. Sadly he wasn't there this Sunday, but it's a reason to go back cause he's usually always there.
Happy Monday!
